  In Queensland, boat registration number sizes vary by vessel type:

• Planing boats need numbers at least 150mm high on both sides.

• Non-planing boats need numbers at least 75mm high, either on both sides or on the stern.

• PWCs (like jet skis) need numbers at least 100mm high on both sides.

All numbers must be in a contrasting colour to the hull for visibility. Eg: White on Black or Black on White.
